Hi, my name is Sue Patterson and I am a broker with Island Realty, Inc. I have worked for Island Realty since August of 2000, and thoroughly enjoy working for a small family oriented business.

I have been in the resort business for the past 13 years and a licensed broker for the past 7 years. Prior to moving to Ocean Isle, I had my Ohio real estate license and was an agent in my hometown of Cuyahoga Falls for 2 years.

By my third vacation to Ocean Isle, I knew this was where I wanted to live. With very little money, but big dreams, I MADE THE MOVE; best move I ever made.

I made my dream come true and you can too! No matter what your dreams are, if you want them bad enough, you can make them come true.

When I first moved to this area, I "pounded the pavement" everyday looking for employment. To my surprise, a local real estate company called me for an interview in January, of all times. That’s when I knew that I was where I was supposed to be!

It is so rewarding working both as a property manager and a broker. As a property manager I get to see people excited about their vacations from week to week. A as a broker, I have the opportunity not only to sell people their dreams, but also aid in the listing of homes so others may move up or even decide to move on. This job is truly the best of both worlds.

It is so nice to have guests come back year after year and be on a first name basis with them. I also enjoy talking with all of the homeowners and discussing their personal needs for property management. I think it is very important to treat each person with respect and look out for his or her best interest.
